Bouquet of Lilies Clock, Madonna Lily Clock | 1899

The Bouquet Lilies Clock, also known as the Madonna Lily Clock, functions in a similar manner as the Blue Serpent Clock. An enameled white strip travels the perimeter of the egg, and on it one finds Roman numerals I- XII set in diamonds. An  arrow in drawn bow, also set in diamonds, points to the Roman numeral that represents the time.

The egg is topped with a delicate carving from white chalcedony of a bouquet of Madonna lilies, which are symbolic of purity and innocence. The leaves and stems are a tinted gold while the pistils of the flowers are set with three rose diamonds.
